|  |  |  |  | Shangri-La expands Douin role BANGKOK – Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Thierry Douin as vice-president and general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, overseeing properties in the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand. He was formerly general manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore and vice-president for Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. A French national, Mr Douin has had more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Shangri-La, he spent 19 years in service with the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts group.
